Overview

The Department of Physiology is among the premier departments in RUHS and started functioning in 2014. Physiology department of RUHS has two unique domains i.e. Academics and research. The broad goal of teaching to undergraduate students in physiology aims at providing the student comprehensive knowledge of normal functions of body and to facilitate the understanding of physiological basis of health and disease.

Department of Physiology is well equipped with gas analyser, Polygraphs, Computerised Spirometer, Digital Physiographs, NCV/EMG machine, etc. Department has also initiated active research in yoga and yoga study centre is also being established. The goal is not only to provide holistic education to undergraduate and post graduate students but also promote research in basic sciences.

Our Research lab has Gas Analyser for studying Sports Physiology, Autonomic Function Tests, Nerve conduction Studies, Auditory & Visual evoked potentials ,Somatosensory evoked potentials, Repetitive nerve stimulation studies, H & F reflex studies, Electromyography ,Computerised Spirometry.
