The Department of Biochemistry, RUHS started functioning in 2014 and provides an unravelled environment for research and teaching to flourish. The department teaching programme is extensive and growing. Well qualified staff uses a wide variety of teaching strategies to communicate their knowledge to the students. Staff expertise offers high quality, up-to-date structured teaching and plays pivotal role in teaching the foundations of Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology. Course content is constantly updated in the light of recent discoveries. The curriculum covers a broad range of topics with particular emphasis on how the subjects relates to medicine and health issues. The success of our teaching is successively assessed and reviewed. The department is especially strong in research providing a stimulating environment to achieve results which will be highly valued in medical sector. A major strength of our degree programmes is that they are research led.
