Facilities
1. Teaching Practical Laboratory: (210 sq.m.) with two ante rooms (12.85x13.5 sq.m. each)
The infrastructure is as per norms of Medical Council of India. The range of practical's covered under the syllabus includes basic experiments as well as colorimetry based analyte estimations and experiments based on various techniques like electrophoresis, chromatography, ELISA, flame photometry and pH meter. The aim of these practicals is to illustrate some common laboratory techniques used in Biochemistry and Clinical Chemistry. Emphasis is laid on teaching the scientific principles upon which these are based so as to put these in context where there relevance to clinical practice can be appreciated. The teaching practical laboratory has necessary infrastructure to support experiments of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
2. Research Laboratory: (60sq.m.)
The state of the art instruments are available in research laboratory. These encompass various techniques such as spectrophotometry, electrophoresis, chromatography, ELISA, chemiluminescence to promote various research activities. Various research projects are conducted by teaching faculty of department and allied branches and undergraduates and postgraduates students.
3. Seminar Room cum Departmental Library: (37.21 sq.m.)
The departmental library has latest editions of text books and reference books. More than 80 books are available in the library. National and international journals are also available in the library.
4. Demonstration rooms (42 sq.m.)
It is of adequate capacity equipped with audio visual aids.
5. Lecture Theatre:
Well equipped lecture theatres are available.
6. Accommodation for faculty:
Rooms for teaching and non-teaching staff are available as per norms of Medical Council of India, New Delhi
